OTOH going to the trouble of ceating a portable version wouldn't make as much sense IMHO since many of the tasks it performs require a reboot, & Aomei already lets you create a bootable USB device you could just as easily use.

It's easier if/when the app provides an ISO for you to burn to CD/DVD, but I've gotten quite a few to work just copying the files on a bootable USB stick to the target USB stick & then adding the executable file to that menu.īased on the last GOTD you'd have to write a script to install 4 files to C:\Windows & C:\Windows\ System32, then uninstall them afterwards - it is possible to do that sort of thing because that's how the portable VirtualBox works. That way you can have one USB stick for example that'll boot & run a dozen plus boot disks if you like. If it helps at all, there are several tools on-line you can download & use to add a boot menu to a USB stick/device. only one boot medium instead of two) I probably won’t try this one." #19: "As I already got European Paragon and Chinese EaseUs and as I prefer Harddisk Managers (= Partition Manager and Imager/Backup in one software, i.e. I wish you the very best with that and with your Web venture. Once again, AOMEI Partition Assistant shows that it is the best software of its kind anywhere. After this recovery I ran a battery of HDD testing utilities and the drive shows that it is in perfect condition. Now I have upgraded the software again, so I went back to that old drive to test today's giveaway on.įlawless recovery and very simply done. AOMEI saw the drive but couldn't do anything with it. This time Windows Explorer wouldn't even recognize the drive. Shortly thereafter another (old) HDD became unreadable. Įarly in 2013 I upgraded my version with the one from here.

Immediately I was able to recover the bad partition and all was well. But then I happened on the free version of AOMEI Partition Assistant. Online I found a couple of other partition managers but they were of no help either. I looked to Paragon for help (the software was downloaded from here). About 18 months ago one of my HDDs became unreadable.
